Acupuncture Clinic This is held on Thursday mornings by Dr Geraldine Lockett, practising western medical acupuncture Patients who think they might benefit should
first contact their own GP who can refer them to the clinic. This is to ensure that any necessary investigations are carried out, because there is always a danger that pain relief from acupuncture could hide
an important underlying problem. Acupuncture may be helpful for people with problems such as: - musculoskeletal pain such as osteoarthritis, neck and shoulder pain, back pain, tennis
elbow - headaches: tension headaches, migraine prophylaxis - hay fever, allergic rhinitis - nausea in pregnancy - other conditions such as irritable bowel, dsymennorrhoea, menopausal
symptoms, bladder instability. Dr Lockett works independently so there is a small charge for this service of £12.50 per session for Milton Surgery patients. This is a reduced
rate. Other patients can be seen if there is space in the clinic at a rate of £35 for the first appointment and £25 for subsequent sessions for that episode. Once you have been
referred, Dr Lockett will contact you directly to make your first appointment and answer any questions you may have about the treatment. |
